TUSD Holds Dedication Ceremony and Open House
for Tustin High Sports Pavilion and Pool

The Tustin Unified School District will hold a dedication ceremony for the new Sports Pavilion and pool at Tustin High School at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26. Following the ceremony, there will be a community open house from 6:15 to 8 p.m. at the new gym and pool, 1171 El Camino Real. The public is invited.

Both events are being held in conjunction with the school’s “Light Up the Night Celebration.”

The Tustin High Sports Pavilion is approximately 29,000 square feet and is located adjacent to the school’s existing gymnasium. It includes a lobby, competition and practice basketball/volleyball courts, dance room, team rooms, storage, concessions, bleachers, ticket booths and restrooms.

The building was designed by NTD Architecture and constructed by Balfour Beatty Construction. The project cost approximately $11 million and was funded through the Measures G and L campus modernization programs.

Tustin High's 50-meter swimming pool has been fully renovated and features a pool deck replacement, new fence fabric, new score board and replacement of the master valve in the pump room, as well as other improvements to flooring, lighting and equipment in the locker room building. The project cost approximately $1.7 million and was funded through the Measure L modernization program.
